There is a series called Tinga Tinga that my grandkiddos shared with me. It is a series of African Tales about the “Why” of various animal features. I am sharing them with you here. It is their art that inspired me most, though! It was a discovery for me to learn that while I may have wanted to be harmonious with Tinga Tinga’s style, at heart, I am a naturalist. And then, along came my grandkids to provide the balance. So that is the “Why” of how this book ended up to be a blend of the two!
